Laksiri: one Laravel portal for a cargo company in 108+ countries

The client

Laksiri is a cargo company that sends door-to-door parcels by air and sea, operating in more than 108 countries. Every branch runs pickups, warehousing, shipping documents, loading and cash, and head office needs to see all of it.

The problem

The work was spread across spreadsheets and separate tools. The same shipment was typed in more than once, branches could not see each other’s figures, and nobody had one view of where a parcel was or how much cash had been collected.

What we built

One web-based internal portal, built on Laravel with Inertia.js and Vue.js, MySQL and AWS. Every branch and department works in the same system, and head office sees every branch on one dashboard.

• Pickups and delivery: pickup scheduling, with mobile apps for pickup and delivery drivers.
• Tracking: parcel and container status from collection to delivery.
• Shipping documents: HBLs, manifests, labels and package queuing.
• Logistics: container loading and vessel schedules.
• Money: cashier, invoice generation, cash settlements and accounting.
• Back office and reports: report generation for every branch and department.
• Partners: third-party agents and third-party API integrations.
• Control: multi-tenancy, branch controls, gate controllers, departments, user management and access tokens.

How we approached it

• Discovery first. We mapped how a parcel actually moves through a branch, from pickup to delivery, before writing code.
• One module at a time. Core modules went live early and were in daily use while the rest was built.
• Screens shaped around each department. The cashier, the warehouse, the gate and the back office each see what they need, with permissions decided per branch and per role.

What changed

A shipment now has one record from pickup to delivery that every branch and department works from. Head office sees every branch on one dashboard instead of chasing spreadsheets, and cash collected at a counter is visible in accounting the same day.
