Laravel work we take on

Some clients arrive with an idea and no code. Others arrive with a codebase and no developer. We do both.

New Laravel applications
Booking systems, customer portals and internal tools from an empty repository to a live product.
Custom or Filament CMS and admin dashboard
A CMS or admin dashboard built to measure, or on Filament when that gets you there faster. Tables, forms, filters and role-based permissions on top of your data, so office staff manage records without a developer.
Taking over an existing codebase
Your developer left, or the last agency went quiet. We read the code, list what needs attention, then carry on with fixes and features.
Version upgrades
Moving an application off old Laravel and PHP releases onto supported ones, in steps, with tests added around the risky parts first.
Robust APIs for apps and partners
A versioned, documented Laravel API behind a mobile app, a React.js or Vue.js front end or a partner integration, with authentication, validation and rate limits built in.

The Laravel stack we use, and why

We stay close to the tools the Laravel community maintains and follow Laravel best practices, because that is what the next developer will expect to find.

Laravel and PHP
Routing, queues, mail, authentication and testing in one framework, with years of documentation behind it.
React.js or Vue.js with Inertia
A modern front end joined directly to Laravel, without a separate API to build and keep in step. React.js or Vue.js, whichever your team prefers.
Livewire
Interactive screens without a separate JavaScript application to build and maintain.
Custom or Filament CMS and admin dashboard
Filament turns your database into a usable back office quickly. When the content model is unusual, we build a custom CMS on the same foundations.
MySQL or PostgreSQL
Standard relational databases on standard hosting. We pick the one that suits your data and what your host supports.
Robust APIs
REST APIs that are versioned, validated and documented, so mobile apps and partner systems can rely on them.
Policies and permissions
Laravel policies and gates decide who can see and change each record, in one place, instead of checks scattered through the code.
Pest and PHPUnit, written test-first
Automated tests with Pest PHP and PHPUnit. We use TDD on the parts that matter most, so a change that breaks something is caught before release.

A Laravel platform we built

Prep2Pass is a driving school in the UK. Students register and book online, instructors see their schedule, and the office runs everything from a Filament admin.

“Before working with Boolet, our internal processes were slow and fragmented. Their custom software streamlined everything into one platform, saving us hours each week. Boolet exceeded our expectations, the team was highly professional throughout the project.”

What Laravel development costs

Builds are priced on your requirements, so the build figures here are starting points. Ongoing work has its own monthly prices.

MVP buildOne core workflow, accounts and a custom or Filament admin dashboard. Usually 4 to 5 weeks.
From £1,999
Product buildUnlimited user roles, an API and up to three integrations. 10 to 12 weeks.
From £4,999
Enterprise buildMulti-tenant accounts, with an architecture and security review. Quoted after a call.
From £9,599
Growth supportTen hours a month for fixes and small features, with a reply within 24 hours on weekdays.
£599/mo
Dedicated developerA Laravel developer hired and managed by us, working as part of your team. Quoted after a call.
Quoted

After the first call you get a written proposal with your price and timeline. The price moves up or down with the size and complexity of the requirements. Support hours can also be bought separately, from £50 per hour, as needed, without a monthly plan.

How a Laravel project runs

The same steps apply to a new build or a takeover.

  1. A free call

    30 minutes

For a new build we talk about the workflow. For existing code we ask what hurts and arrange read access to the repository.

  2. Written proposal

    No charge

A written proposal with the price and timeline for your requirements, sent after the call and agreed before the build starts. For a takeover, this is where we read the code and write down what we find.

  3. Build

    4 to 10 weeks

An MVP usually takes 4 to 5 weeks and a Product build 10 to 12. You speak to the developers directly.

  4. Ongoing work

    Monthly

A support plan for updates and small features, or a dedicated developer when you need steady capacity.

When Laravel is the wrong choice

We like Laravel, and we still talk people out of it.

Use something else when

  • The site is mostly pages of content. WordPress or Next.js is cheaper, and our websites start at £499.
  • You need a standard online shop. WooCommerce or a hosted store will get you selling sooner.
  • The product is a phone app first. You will need Flutter, React Native or NativePHP, with Laravel as the API.

Laravel fits when

  • The software is built around your data, your rules and different kinds of user.
  • Staff need a proper admin panel to run the business from.
  • You want a widely used framework, so you can hire for it later.
  • You want tested code and clear permissions from the first release.
  • You already have a PHP codebase worth keeping.

Working with us from anywhere in the UK or worldwide

Laravel work suits remote delivery because everything lives in a Git repository and a hosted environment. We work in your repository or set one up for you, and meet on Google Meet. An engineering firm in Lincolnshire or a charity in Inverness has no need to find a Laravel developer locally, which can be hard outside the big cities.

Questions buyers ask

Straight answers. If yours is not here, email us.

Can you take over a Laravel project another agency built?
Yes. We ask for read access, go through the code and tell you plainly what state it is in. If it needs a clean-up before features can be added safely, we say so and price that first.
How much does a Laravel application cost?
A first version with one core workflow, accounts and a custom or Filament admin dashboard starts from £1,999. A multi-role product with an API and up to three integrations starts from £4,999. Both are starting points. The price depends on your requirements, and you get a written proposal with the price and timeline after the first call.
Can we hire a Laravel developer by the month?
Yes. A dedicated developer is hired and managed by us and works in your repository and your chat. The monthly price is quoted after a call. For smaller needs, Growth support gives you ten hours a month for £599.
Our app runs on an old version of Laravel. Can you upgrade it?
Yes. We upgrade in steps, one major version at a time, and add tests around payments, logins and anything else that must not break. How long it takes depends on the size of the gap and how much custom code there is.
Will you work alongside our in-house developer?
Yes. We can join an existing repository and follow your conventions, or run a separate workstream and merge when it is ready.

Tell us about your Laravel project

New build, takeover or upgrade. A 30-minute call is enough for us to say how we would approach it.
