One team, clients anywhere in the UK
We do not have offices in every city and we will not pretend to. What we have is a way of working that does not depend on being in the same room, so a business in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds or Bristol gets the same project as one in London.
The same goes for Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and Newcastle, and for the places that rarely make it onto an agency's list of locations: market towns, coastal villages, farms, and trading estates a long drive from the nearest city.
If you run a business outside the big cities, the nearest software company can be a long way off and the choice is thin. Working remotely widens it. You can pick a company on its work and its prices, and ignore its postcode. If you are close enough to meet, see our pages for Essex and London.
How a remote project runs, week by week
The steps, in order, with what you see at each one.
Before week one
A free 30-minute call
By video or phone. You tell us what you need, we ask questions, and we say whether we can help.
After the call
A written proposal with the price and timeline
We write down what we will build, what it will cost and how long it will take. A website package is a fixed price. Custom software is priced on your requirements, so our published figures are starting points and the price can go up or down with size and complexity. We do not charge for the proposal.
Before the build
You agree it before the build starts
You read the proposal, and we change whatever is not right. No build work starts until you have agreed the price and the timeline.
Every week of the build
A shared channel and a demo
We set up a shared channel for questions, so nothing waits on an email chain. Once a week you get a demo link to click through on your own phone or laptop, and we go through it together on a call.
Launch and after
Go live, then support
We launch, hand over, and fix what comes up during the included support period, which is 30 to 90 days depending on the build. After that, an optional support plan starts at £199 a month.
On-site visits by arrangement
Some things are easier to understand standing in them: a workshop, a warehouse, a shop floor. If a visit would make the software better, ask and we will arrange one.
Built for slow connections and older phones
Not every customer has fibre and a new handset. If yours are on a patchy rural signal or a phone that is a few years old, the site still has to open.
- Images
- Sized for the screen they are shown on, and loaded when they are needed.
- JavaScript
- As little as the page needs, so older phones are not left working through it.
- Text first
- The words and the phone number are readable before the pictures arrive.
- Speed pass
- Included on the Professional website plan, targeting a Lighthouse score of 90 or more.
What we build remotely
The same work we do for clients we can drive to. Nothing on this list needs us in the building.
- WebsitesFrom £499 for up to five pages. Built light, so they open quickly on a weak signal.
- EcommerceA shop that lets a rural business sell to the whole country.
- ERP and internal systemsStock, jobs, orders and customers in one web-based system your team opens in a browser.
- Web applicationsBooking systems, portals and dashboards in Next.js and Laravel.
- MVP developmentA first version of a new product in 4 to 5 weeks, from £1,999.

A slow site, rebuilt to be quick
Travel Eagle Travels is a travel agency. We redesigned and rebuilt its website in Next.js, and it is live at traveleagletravels.com.
The old site was slow and had little presence in search. Speed is the same thing a business with customers on rural broadband should ask us for. Our other public work is on the projects page.
“Our old website was extremely slow and had no real SEO presence. Boolet redesigned and rebuilt it into a lightning-fast website with proper SEO foundations. We’re now ranking better, and the site performs beautifully. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”

Questions about working remotely
Straight answers. If yours is not here, email us.
- Do you have an office near me?
- We work remotely with businesses in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Newcastle and the towns and rural areas between them, without an office in any of those places.
- Will we ever meet in person?
- We can, by arrangement. The project is set up to run without it, using video calls, a shared channel and a weekly demo. If a visit would help, for example to see a warehouse before we design software for it, we will arrange one.
- Our broadband is poor. Can we still work with you?
- Yes. A video call can drop to audio or a phone call. The weekly demo is a link you open in your own time, and the shared channel is plain text, so nothing depends on a fast line.
- Will the website work for customers on slow connections?
- That is how we build. Images are sized for the screen, pages carry as little JavaScript as they need, and the text is readable before the pictures arrive.
- Who does the work?
- Boolet is a UK software development company with people in London and a wider remote team of engineers we bring in when a build needs more hands. You talk to the people writing the code.
Wherever you are, start with a call
Thirty minutes by video or phone. Tell us what you need and where your customers are. We will say if we cannot help.
