The short answer
At Boolet, bespoke software starts from £1,999 for a focused first version, £4,999 for a multi-user product with an API and integrations, and £9,599 for larger multi-tenant systems. Websites are fixed prices from £499. Every software figure is a starting point: after a free call you get a written proposal with your actual price and timeline.
We publish these numbers because most agencies do not, and a guess is hard to budget around. The full breakdown is on our pricing page.
What you get at each level
First version (MVP), from £1,999
One core workflow, user accounts and an admin dashboard, built in 4 to 5 weeks with 30 days of support. Right for testing an idea with real users, or replacing one painful spreadsheet. See MVP development.
Product, from £4,999
Unlimited user roles, an API and up to three integrations, built in 10 to 12 weeks with 60 days of support. This is where most business systems land: a customer portal, a booking system or an internal tool several departments use.
Enterprise, from £9,599
Multi-tenant accounts, with the architecture and a security review agreed in writing before we build, and 90 days of support. Think of a platform that runs many branches or many client companies, like the cargo portal we built for Laksiri.
What pushes the price up or down
- Number of workflows. Each process the software has to run, such as booking, invoicing or dispatch, adds screens, rules and tests.
- Integrations. Connecting to accounting, payments, couriers or an existing database is often the least predictable part, especially when the other system is poorly documented.
- User roles and permissions. Software where a cashier, a manager and a customer each see different things takes more care than one where everyone sees everything.
- Moving your existing data. Importing years of spreadsheets or an old system needs cleaning and checking.
- Mobile apps. An app for staff or customers is usually priced as its own piece, from £1,999, sharing the same backend.
- How custom the admin is. A back office built to measure costs more than one on a ready-made framework such as Filament, which is a good fit when speed matters more than a bespoke layout.
What it costs after launch
Software needs hosting, security updates and small changes. Our support plans run from £199 a month (updates, backups and uptime alerts) to £599 (ten hours a month for small features) and £999 (thirty hours and a named lead), or £50 an hour as needed. Hosting for a typical business system is a modest monthly cost on top.
One difference from off-the-shelf software: there are no per-user fees. Adding ten more staff to a system you own costs nothing extra.
When off-the-shelf is cheaper
If a standard product does what you need, it will usually cost less in year one. Bespoke starts to pay off when you are paying for several subscriptions that do not talk to each other, re-typing the same data, or bending your process to fit the tool. We will say so on the call if a subscription is the better answer.
How to keep the first version affordable
- Start with the two or three flows that must work on day one. Everything else can wait for real users. We explain how in how we scope an MVP.
- Name the integrations you actually need, not the ones you might need one day.
- Build on one system. A single Laravel codebase can run the website, the back office, the mobile app API and AI features, which is cheaper to run than several tools.
